You give them the freedom to express their originality, creativity and personal style. You recognize they are different than you are and they do things differently. This different approach does not intimidate you or make you anxious. You actually value their uniqueness and see it as strength to leverage and nurture.
You develop and support them as they do the tasks themselves and you don't do the tasks for them because you realize that doing the task for them undermines their efforts and decreases motivation. Doing their tasks is micro managing. Developing them to do the tasks is leadership.
You build trusting, meaningful and respectful relationships with people simply through your attitude of really valuing others. And you can't "fake it until you make it" when it comes to valuing people. You either do this with consistent integrity or you don't.
Empowering people in this manner fuels engagement and contributes to a healthy organization and workplace. Be a leader worth following by empowering people to unleash their potential for greatness. #IntentionalLiving #leadership
