Last week I received an email from one of my colleagues and friends who I used to work with at my old employer. This person shared with me how I made a difference in her career path by believing in her abilities and potential. She went on to share how she appreciated the opportunity I gave her to be a trainer. She thanked me for encouraging her and seeing her potential before she even saw it in herself. I was greatly encouraged by her specific words of appreciation and I'm convinced more than ever of the power of adding value to people through encouraging feedback.
So don't take my word for it. I want you to be intentional this week and actually go and encourage someone. You won't need to look very far. Everyone you know (and even some strangers you will meet) needs encouragement. Please leave a comment below as I'd love to hear back from you on your stories of encouragement or your thoughts on this post.
